Melvin Hines founded Bonded Transmission & Auto Repair in Framingham, MA in 1961. He passed it on to his sons, Mike and Steven, and it has been in the family ever since. Our entire business revolves around keeping your vehicles moving and your family happy.

Mike has many years of experience in the technical and management side of the automotive business and he is passionate about changing the public’s negative perspective of the industry. Mike’s mission is to create long lasting customers based on honesty and integrity and genuinely wants to help each customer become an informed consumer to allow them to make educated decisions regarding their automobile. He is a second generation owner and has been involved in the automotive industry since being able to push a broom or clean the shop. After attending college, the decision was made to join the family business and has been here full time since 1981. The business was bought from his father, Melvin Hines in 1988 and was in business with his brother Steven, until Steven’s retirement in 2012.
Mike is married to Linda since 1988 and has a son Chris, who is a Mechanical Engineer and a daughter Mikayla, who is in college studying elementary education. He enjoys spending time with family, ice hockey, racing go karts on a national level, reading and traveling.
Bob has had a career in the industry since the early 1980’s after pursuing an automotive track through school, working as a technician and then managed some of the most successful Ford dealerships in Massachusetts. He started at Bonded in 2012 and enjoys working in a family business environment where he can utilize his exceptional customer satisfaction skills.
Bob has been married to Joanne since 1985 and has a son Bobby. Bob enjoys baseball and is a staunch Red Sox follower, collects coins and enjoys spending time with his adored cats.

Dave has always had an interest in cars, especially classic muscle cars. He was employed in the sales side of the industry for 11 years and has been with us since 2011.
Dave is in a relationship with Julie and has 2 children, Laurel and Scott and is a doting grandfather of 2 precious grandchildren. On the warm days, Dave enjoys commuting on his Harley.

Jim always had an attraction to things mechanical and was hired by Bonded Transmission’s founder, Melvin Hines while still in high school. Jim has been with Bonded since 1976 and is considered part of the family here. Jim is our transmission specialist and is always ready to share his expertise on complicated repairs.
Jim and his wife, Jean, have been married since 1990 and have 2 daughters. Jamie is well on her way to becoming a medical doctor and Michelle is pursuing her education at the college level. Jim enjoys spending time with family, snowmobiling and during the summer can always be found out on any local lake putting on an impressive show water skiing or even barefoot water skiing.
Jason entered the industry out of high school and graduated from Ohio Technical Institute. In 2011 Jason joined our team here at Bonded. Jason has achieved ASE Master Technician level and consistently attends technical training to stay on top of the most current changes in the industry. He is the guy everyone turns to with any kind of electrical issues and is our Volkswagen and European specialist.
Jason has been married to Anne since 2003 and has 3 children. He enjoys camping anywhere in New England but especially enjoys Cape Cod and spending time with his family and he always enjoys a good poker game.
Francis attended Worcester Vocational Technical School and has been involved in the automotive industry since 1989 and the transmission business since 2002. His interest in things mechanical started at an earlier age with an inquisitiveness towards what makes small engines operate.
When not working, Fran enjoys snowmobiling, camping and motorcycling and you may see him wandering through a swap meet or flea market as well. Fran is a pleasure to have as part of the team and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Fran lives in Dudley, MA with his family.
Matt has been an important part to the Bonded team since Mike’s brother, Steve, retired. Matt came to us after a 10 year career at UPS where he was the night shift manager and has taken responsibility of the facility, equipment and systems as well as training to become a General Service Technician.
Matt has been married to his wife, Nikki, since 2012 and they were blessed with their first child in January of 2016.
When not working, Matt enjoys the outdoors, be it hiking, camping, snowmobiling or motorcycling with his father in law, Fran Taft who is also a Bonded team member.
Maureen lives with her boyfriend, Dan, in Franklin with her pre-teen son, Michael, whom she adores.
Maureen is a recent graduate from Mass Bay Community College with 10 plus years of experience in the hospitality and customer service industry.
Maureen is an energetic and friendly team member who is an asset to our customers as well as the Company.
Outside of work, Maureen enjoys reading and cooking. She is a Boston Bruins fan but she is her son’s biggest fan at various youth sport’s games.
Linda is married to Mike and a Bentley University graduate and started her career in the public accounting industry. She has also worked 20 years in an automobile dealership until devoting all her time here at Bonded in 2012.
Linda enjoys hiking, biking and skiing but most importantly she enjoys spending time with her family.
